Lack of credible regional leaders is affecting Congress's prospects

The Congress is losing ground at an alarming pace, says the editorial. It can be attributed to the over-centralization of the Congress leadership, and a lack of credible regional leaders, as is the trend in most states, especially Southern states, in India.

Punjab polls

The state of Punjab is known for it's prosperity and the green lush...

The Indian granary and the foothold of the former green revolution (which has now turned into a sense of disaster) still produces the largest amount of rice in the country with good wheat production also...

But, the main question is, is it really prosperous?

Our dear old EC has been putting in place great measures for the coming elections in five states. The article calls it the "electoral medicine," and indeed for political parties and politicians, it is a bitter pill to swallow.
